Terms and Conditions of Use

1. The service

LavaJá collects, treats and returns your laundry according to your chosen subscription plan or one-off pickups, within the coverage areas listed on the site.

Delivery times are good-faith estimates and may vary for operational or weather reasons. We always notify you of any significant delay.

2. Account and data

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and your address, contact and preferences accurate.

We may request phone or email verification to confirm bookings and protect your account.

3. Plans, payments and renewal

Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices and plan limits are shown at sign-up.

Each plan includes a number of pickups and a weight allowance. Excess weight is only charged after we notify you and obtain your approval.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

You can reschedule or cancel a pickup while it is in the scheduled state, from the order detail page.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, with no partial refund of the current period unless required by law.

5. Garments, damage and liability

We handle garments with care, following labels and the preferences you provide. Some delicate, unlabelled or already-damaged items may not withstand the process.

Our liability for damage proven to be caused by us is limited to the reasonable value of the item, subject to proof of purchase and applicable law.

Please flag allergies, delicate items and special instructions when booking.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the service for unlawful purposes or hand over hazardous, biological or legally prohibited items.

7. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Significant changes are communicated through the usual channels.
